IN SILICO AND IN VITRO STUDY ON THE INHIBITION ACTIVITY OF ETHANOLIC EXTRACT AND ETYL ACETAT FRACTION OF BIDARA UPAS TUBER (Merremia mammosa Lour.) AGAINTS 3CL- PROTEASE OF SARS-COV2
Tubers of Merremia mammosa Lour have long been used by the people of Madura Island, Indonesia, to treat respiratory diseases. It contains resin glycosides that have been reported to inhibit mouse coronavirus. 3CL-Protease is an enzyme that plays an important role in SARS-CoV2’s replication. This research aims to investigate the metabolite profiles, in silico and in vitro 3CL-Protease, and in vitro SARS-CoV2 inhibition activities of M. mammosa. Dried tuber was extracted using ethanol, followed by fractionation using n-hexane, ethyl acetate, and butanol solvents. Metabolite profiling was done using UPLC-QTof MS/MS instrument.
